2015 Summer Reading Program
Join us for Summer Reading 2015!
"Every Hero Has a Story"
All ages are invited to read and earn prizes at the same time.
Thursday, June 18, 2 p.m. -- Every Animal Has a Story (Blank Park Zoo)
The animals at the zoo are ambassadors who help teach people about their wild counterparts and raise awareness for their species and habitats.
Several animals will be brought and told about.
Friday, June 26, 1-3 p.m.
Saturday, June 27, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. -- Caricatures by Duane Murray
Duane will bring a variety of superhero backgrounds drawn ahead of time. Participants choose which background they would like and he draws in the face and head.
You get to keep the drawing. We will have sign-up times available.
Tuesday, July 21, 7 p.m. -- Powers of a Superhero (Blank Park Zoo)
Meet zoo animals with strength and senses comparable to superheros.
Every Hero has a Story yard sign
Once a week for each week in June and July a "Hero" yard sign will be left in someone's front yard. Each sign will explain why they are a hero. Forms are available at the Library to nominate a hero.
